Derzeit zu beobachten: Das Jahr 2007 wird ausgewrungen bis wirklich nichts mehr drin ist – Jahresrückblick oder Rankinglisten nennt man das dann.

Kurios auch die Wahl des US Magazins „Time“ - denn das kürte in diesem Jahr den russischen Präsidenten Wladimir Putin zum „Mann des Jahres 2007“ - Eine Auszeichnung, die - so TIME - nicht als Kompliment, sondern als Folgerung aus realpolitischen Tatsachen betrachtet werden muss. Man habe sie ihm vor allem wegen seiner Verdienste um die Stabilität Russlands zuerkannt. Putin habe ein Land wieder auf Vordermann gebracht, “das von der Landkarte in unseren Köpfen verschwunden war”, begründete Time-Chefredakteur Richard Stengel die Wahl.

Woran erkennt man einen Antisemiten? Die Frage klingt einfach, aber die Antwort ist ein wenig kompliziert. Denn kein Antisemit gibt sich als solcher zu erkennen, es sei denn, er trifft sich mit Gleichgesinnten in einem muffigen Hinterzimmer, um mit ihnen einen Aktionsplan gegen die jüdische Weltverschwörung (heute: die Israel-Lobby) auszuarbeiten. Nicht einmal ein abgebrochener Aktions-Künstler wie Dieter Kunzelmann, der die Deutschen von ihrem „Judenknacks“ befreien wollte und der 1969 an einem missglückten Bombenanschlag auf das jüdische Gemeindehaus in Berlin beteiligt war, möchte heute als Antisemit bezeichnet werden. Dennoch gibt es ein paar verlässliche Kriterien, die eine Qualifizierung möglich machen:
