Wenn Iran in den Besitz der Atombombe käme, dann hätte das verheerende Folgen: zuerst und vor allem für die Existenz Israels, dann für die gesamte Region und schließlich - weit darüber hinaus - für alle in Europa und der Welt, denen die Werte von Freiheit, Demokratie und Menschenwürde etwas bedeuten. Deshalb muss verhindert werden, dass Iran in den Besitz der Atombombe kommt.
Beim entschlossenen Vorgehen gegen die Provokationen Irans darf sich die internationale Gemeinschaft nicht spalten lassen. Nicht die Welt muss Iran beweisen, dass Iran die Atombombe baut. Iran muss die Welt überzeugen, dass es die Atombombe nicht will.

Was in der gegenwärtigen Debatte um Gaza übersehen wird, ist die geografische Tatsache, dass der “Strip” auch eine Grenze mit Ägypten hat. Bis 1967 wurde das Gebiet von Ägypten verwaltet. Das könnte bald wieder so werden:
